Pastor Ryan Franchuk
Asked on Sep 19, 2016

Last Sunday I announced my resignation as lead pastor at Christ Fellowship Church. We have been going for 8 years but in the past year especially we have had significant downward momentum in terms of people dying, people moving, people leaving, and financial resources running out. Our town has been a tough place to establish a foothold and grow to
sustainability/viability. We had a business meeting to formally dissolve the corporation and plan the asset distribution, etc. Please pray for the families and individuals from our church that are now seeking God's face for what's next for them and for their ministry in this community. Please pray for me and my family that God will provide for our needs and help us find the place He wants us to serve next. Thanks much.

Please pray for our church.. we are experiencing financial hardships. We may have to close our doors because we aren't making enough to pay the rent. We live in a very small low income community where our people are struggling to pay their bills. We just want to give them hope and show them the love of our Savior but it's hard now and we don't know where to turn. We're a setup and take down church and we rent out one of our local schools to have our service. So, please pray that we receive a miracle and someone will come along and bless of church so we can continue God's work..

Please pray for our continued efforts with the people of South Sudan. We have been there twice to help with agricultural practice and to dig a well for clean drinking water. We would like to return to assist with malaria prevention but due to the civil war we have not been able to return. Many people we know have been killed and the women and girls have been raped and beaten. The people are displaced, starving and in need of help. We are trying, but it seems so hopeless.

Please pray for our community. We are in need of great peace as our local Native American community has risen up against a corporate oil company that is attempting to construct an oil pipeline near their sacred lands. It is our prayer that peace will prevail but it currently looks as though things will get worse, and maybe dangerous, before they get better. We are seeking ways that we as a church can help to bring the presence of peace to the situation.

Please pray for us at Calvary Baptist Church in Carrington, ND. We will be continuing our AWANA ministry to the community, this year, without our commander, who has retired from that position. Please pray that we stay organized, motivated, and Spirit-empowered.

Please pray that God provides volunteers and wisdom as we host the North Central Association meetings in October.
